Capture 6.1 Beta Guide

Important Note About Beta Testing: Beta builds of Capture are unsupported, and will include bugs. Do not use this software for any production events unless you are prepared to lose content.

Thanks for participating in the Capture 6.1 Beta. This page contains resources for testing the new Capture 6.1 software. Note that Capture 6.1 is fully backwards-compatible with Server 6.0, so a server update is not required.

Installation Instructions

1. Completely un-install all previous versions of Capture.
2. Ensure C:\Program Files\Capture does not exist.
3.  Download the latest installer of the appropriate software; get the CaptureStation installer for Capture Station 300, and the Capture installer for laptops and other 3rd-party computers.
4. Run the installer. Note that the installer currently displays debug messages in the form of message boxes. Please ignore these messages by clicking through them.
5. Run Capture. Enter the serial key that was reserved for the machine you're testing on. Enter server details and credentials.

Note: If you are testing on a machine that does not have a serial key, or have lost your serial key, please email a request for a beta key to beta@….

Update Instructions

Updates will periodically be added to fix bugs. These steps assume that you have already installed some build of Capture 6.1. Some builds might require a full re-install of the software; an email will be sent if this is the case.

1.  Download the latest update.
2. Install the update. Capture will launch automatically when the update is complete.
